Nick is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors. Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters. Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon. How does Nick escape?

Well I wanted a story that is about a fish because of my fish which is called Molly.  For the moral of the story I always wanted it to be never give up on your dreams.

For part of our homework we would need to write a 100 word story. Then we would have to go on the 100 word challenge website and submit it.

Here it is

I have been running from the police ever since my own mother was murdered. Everyone was accusing me for doing something that I haven’t even done. Why would I kill my own mother? My best friend betrayed me. The words that she said stung “I hate you, you murderer get away from me” I keep on wondering about why she betrayed me. We had always stood up for each other and took the blame. I was walking back to the cabin because I had just stolen some food. When I was looking behind me, I saw a black police car.

Apperance: Sugar Gliders are small mammals. They have a shiny grey-white coat. They are about 40 centimetres  long. They weight about 140 grams for a male sugar glider and 120 grams for a female. Sugar Gliders have huge black eyes. This animal has a bushy grey-white tail. It has a white tip at the tail. The sugar glider have a small pink nose. They have black stripes on the forehead and along it back and it also has black strips along the limbs. They have a 6 – 8 centimetres tail.

Habitat:They can live anywhere if they have plenty of rainfall.They live in wet, dry and temperature rainforests.

Diet: The sugar glider hunts at night since it is nocturnal. It has a sweet tooth. They eat sap from the gum, eucalypts and the acacia tree. They hunt in groups.

Family life: They live in a group where there can be 7-12 sugar gliders in the group. Sugar gliders sleep in a nest that is made a leaves. They sleep together so they can conserve and save body heat. When food is scare or when the temperature goes down they go into a torpor. Torpor is like a very mild hibernation. It when they body temperature drops down close to the air around it. They are very playful around each other but when they see a sugar glider that not from their clan they attack very fiercely. They also attack very fiercely if any other animal if they go into their land. The dominant male is like the leader of the clan. He will scent other members of the clan and around their territory.

Future: The future of the sugar glider is going to be terrible if we keep on destroying the rainforest.  Even though the sugar glider is not endangered they are going to be extinct soon. The main reason of why the rainforest is being destroyed is cattle raising.  The sugar glider is worth protecting because they are part of the rainforest food chain. If they die another animal might die as well until all the animals will die.

Other facts:

• The sugar glider scientific name is Petaurus breviceps.
• Which means ‘short-headed rope-dancer‘.
• Sugar gliders are marsupials and they are also nocturnal.
• They can live up to 9 years in the wild and 12 years in captivity.
• To protect themselves they make a warning sound which means stay away.
• They also can bite the predator.
